IGP Terre Siciliane
Intense ruby-purple wine, with notes of red fruits, blueberries and pepper. Full and round on the palate, it has a spicy and long elegant finish.
Syrah grows in Western Sicily in the Trapani district, at approx 170 m a.s.l.. The medium texture limestone soil and the perfect micro climate ensure perfect conditions for the ripening phases and for enhancing the concentration characteristics of the varietal. Vines are planted facing South using the trellis system, guyot pruning.
An average year with not too much rain in winter, a cool spring and a relatively mild summer ensured a good development of the different phenological phases.
Hand-picked on September 17th, de-stemming and skin maceration for 12 days, before fermentation takes place at 24°C in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic in Stainless Steel. Part of the wine is aged for at least 6 months.
