IGP Terre Siciliane
Due to a cold wet spring and the low temperatures during the beginning of summer, harvest has started almost 10 days later than usual, and has been down compared to recent years. On the other hand, quality has been exceptional, the plants were able to accumulate aromatic substances giving fragrant wines with rich and fruity aromas.
Vineyards grow in Chirchiaro, between Salemi and Vita at 500 a.s.l.. The medium texture limestone-siliceous soil together with a good thermical range, ensure ideal conditions to enhance the characteristic of the varietals. Vines are planted facing East using the trellis sytem, and guyot pruning.
Mild temperatures together with late summer rain, guaranteed enough humidity to the soil and a late but good development of all the pheonological phases and this brought to a strong development of primary aromas.
Hand-picked September 29th. . De stemming and skin maceration for a few hours, and soft-pressed before fermentation at 15°C in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then left on its lees for a 50 days before being bottled.

Nose: Papaya, white peach, broom and lemon
Palate: Medium structure, stone fruits, mineral notes and pleasant acidity
