The oldest label we represent, the one we like to call “La Damina”, was designed by the famous architect Ernesto Basile. An exponent of modernism and Art Nouveau, he became well-known because of his stylistic fusion of ancient, medieval and modern elements. He was one of the pioneers of Art Nouveau in Italy.

At the end of the 19th century, he happened to be in Marsala, and met Vito who commissioned him the design of his most precious Marsala wine. Today, we are proudly still using the same label for our best Marsalas, Marsala Superiore Riserva, aged for 10 years, and Marsala Riserva Storica, aged for more than 22 year.
